We have had a wonderful holiday week. The only bummer has been the lingering cough all three of us have been fighting. But, we have been getting alot of sleep and everyone is eating well so hopefully we will be 100% soon.
We hosted the family here for Xmas Eve and had a great time. Kevin came about 3 and then went and got Dad. Right after they got back, Josh and Laura came. Then Doreen and Alissa and Lee as well. The ham and all the fixings turned out good and the wine was pretty tasty too.

Everyone had a great time opening gifts and the girls were very excited. They got alot of nice things from all of us. Poppa gave them puzzles, Ella got a Barbie Laptop and a Tickle Me Elmo as well as a big Doodle Pro and Playdough. Elizabeth got a hand held Leapster and craft bucket with lots of cool things and a Little Pet Shop Game and a Disney Digitial Camera as well as a Dora game. From me they got outfits for their dolls as well as new pajamas for them. And Elizabeth received a craft kit for making fans. I also gave her a headset with a microphone for singing. For Ella I gave her a bed for her babies. I also gave her a new toy for putting on the Fridge to go with the alphabet magnet game she has. This one does animals and sounds.
Elizabeth gave Ella a piggy bank with Isabella on it. She also gave Ella a bell with her name on it for the tree. Ella gave Elizabeth a puppy dog leash for her Build a Bear puppy.
Elizabeth gave me a purse ornament, bubble bath soap, a Christmas towel
Grandma Jo and Uncle Jerry gave Elizabeth a snow globe to add to her collection and started Ella on a music box collection. They also gave them Shrek 3 but I have not been successful in talking them into watching yet.

Christmas morning Elizabeth was ready and knew exactly what to do. Poor Ella was still tried and fell asleep on the floor again. So, Elizabeth opened her presents and looked at her stocking. Santa even put stuff in my stocking. Yippee. Ella woke back up shortly after the opening started and enjoyed being part of it as well.

Santa gave Ella a baby and a highchair and for Elizabeth he gave her two kites and a highchair for her babies.

They got some great gifts from Cindy and Reenie too. They will have fun shopping at Target with the gift cards and are loving the bracelets and pretties from Cindy.
Mary and Mike gave them rescue pops that we need to register online yet. They are cute little puppies that they both love.
Today we have another party to go to. Jim and Pam and the girls are in town and everyone is getting together at Kevin and Doreen's. It will be nice to have everyone together. Hopefully we can get lots of pictures.
Yesterday Jim and Pam and Grace and Madeline hung out with us and we loved it! They brought lunch after they left Dad's and the girls all played outside. Ella and Madeline were the first ones back in and within a few minutes Grace and Elizabeth were in. Ella took a nap after Madeline read to her. Madeline is a great reader. Jim took Dad to church and Pam went to her mom's for a bit. So, I left Grace with the girls and ran to the store. Ella woke while I was gone but they all took great care of her and stopped her crying.

We had dinner of pizza and pasta while watching Mulan again. Ella Elizabeth and I watched it the night before per Ella's request. Then she requested it again during the afternoon. And surprise surprise, she wanted to watch it again last night. Jim tried to change it to Football but Ella made it loud and clear that she was not for that plan.
Thanks for hanging out with us Florida Kerkvliets! We love it and can't wait to come hang out with you in Florida.
Right now the two girls are watching Beauty and Beast Christmas.

Ella's first Christmas as she fell asleep? Glad she snapped awake with the opening of the gifts!
Have a Happy New Year 2008 or what I like to refer to as the year of Tate! And other waiting kiddos and families!
