Recent Events

Last Saturday we were playing around with playdough and made some snowmen for inside. My girls decided theirs needed toothpicks to help them stay together. I really enjoyed the finished products.





Last Sunday we went to Paint Your Plate in Edina with friends and had a blast. I'll be picking up our object d art today. Ella painted a ceramic puppy, Elizabeth did a box that had a star lid and I did a plate.




On Tuesday Ella showed signs of being sick. I guess she decided I wasn't paying attention because she threw up at 9 pm, then 1 am and 2 am. So, she had 3 different pjs on that night, I had 2 and my bed had new sheets and blankets one time. We are all better and caught up on laundry. Ella and I stayed home the next day but she was fine. So, I think it was something she ate instead of the flu.

Thursday Elizabeth and I went to the Chinese New Year Spectacular at Northrup Auditorium. We really enjoyed it. It was classical Chinese dancing and singing. Elizabeth's school had gotten reduced prices on the tickets so there were alot of Elizabeth's friends there too. She had a ball being social with her friends and hanging out with mom. I loved it too. Thanks to Reenie who watched Ella.

Saturday I took part in the 6th Annual Ice Feeshing Queens Tournament. My friends have been going for a few years but I was not able to join in the fun until this year. Thanks to Grandma Jo and Uncle Jerry for watching the girls. We left about 8:30 yesterday for Elk River with Reenie and Sandy, me and the girls. After dropping off the girls and their stuff Sandy Reenie and I were on our way. We were meeting the rest in Victoria. It was a fun day. We ate, drank, fished and ate some more. Can't wait to do it again next year.

One of the other Ice Feeshing girls sent pictures. Here I am with Reenie and Denise. I am in the brown jacket and don't worry - I was wearing appropriate clothing under my jeans - wasn't cold at all.


Last night Todd and I took the girls to the 2008 US Figure Skating Championship. The competition was over but last night was the Skating Spectacular. My employer has a suite at the Excel and offered some comped tickets to employees. I was lucky to be the one to get Sunday's tickets. The girls did pretty good and we got to watch 2 of the 3 hours worth of the performance. They were pretty tired at the end.
