But, I can catch up on photos for sure.
Last Sunday was the Chinese New Year celebration put together by the FCC (Families with Children from China). Its always nice to go and run into people you know. This year was no exception. We started out getting the required face painting. Elizabeth determined Ella would be first. That is her helping hand on Ella's head.

After that we ran into Mary and her daughters Elizabeth and Mikala. We found them near the photographer that I had forgetten about. So, I took the girls' name tags off and had photos taken of the two. I can't wait to get them. I ordered two 5x7 and they were hugging in them. I'll put one in each of their rooms.
The rest of the day was fun with crafts, dancing, circus acts and running into old and new friends. We saw Leslie, Serena and Ansley as well as Patti and Skylar. We also saw Tracy and Muriel and Elizabeth, Taylan and Elizabeth's mom. My daughter Elizabeth also ran into friends from school - Jamie and her mom Bonnie and Sophie and her family. Fun Fun Times.
The circus performers wanted volunteers to help with plate spinning and other tricks. I know Elizabeth won't volunteer but Ella was begging to go up. I was a mean mom and didn't let her. I figured she was too young. Maybe next year though.
The girls ended the day by doing more crafts. Here are pictures of them doing the Rat Picture Holder. Pretty cute.

I received a nice surprise at work on Wednesday - Todd sent me roses. That was really nice... thanks Todd. On Thursday the girls and I met up with Todd and his daughter Elise at Davani's after gymnastics. It was nice not having to cook and thankfully the girls walked to and from the restaurant. I truely am surprised how tired I get by the end of the week. I brought the roses home on Thursday before I picked the girls up. I was working from home on Friday so I didn't want to leave them at work. Which was a great idea as they are really pretty. Here they are on Friday and then today. Today's picture I played with the lighting on the camera.

On Friday, the girls and I went grocery shopping and did some for Dad too. We then spent some time with him after. Elizabeth was watching TV and Ella was exploring in Poppas closet. She came out with one of his t shirts on with his shoes and his neck brace on her head like a crown. I didn't have a camera with but I know Dad and I both enjoyed the show.
Saturday I took the girls to the library and then we did Mcdonalds for lunch. Ella calls it Donalds. Then while Ella was napping, I cleaned a little. Elizabeth helped by washing the mirrors and windows for me. She loves doing that. She is a little heavy on the Windex but its cheap. LOL Then in the evening we went over to Mary and Mikes for dinner. Thanks guys. Here are the girls in their outfits for the day.

Today we were going to hit the sales at REI because the girls need boots but the sassiness and misbehaving made me change my mind. Instead I had them get in the warm clothes and outside we went. I needed to finish up the shoveling and chatted with the neighbor. Found out Mrs G. did my front walk last week. I knew someone had but didn't realize it was the retired neighbor. She has been a great friend to my Dad when he lived here and my brother does blow her sidewalk with my snow blower but it was still very very nice. With the busy week we had, I didn't need to worry about shoveling. so, it was just cleaning up what I didn't get to and the girls played. Then we took the stroller out and went for a walk. That could be what tired me out. Pushing a stoller thru snow is not easy. But, it was nice getting out. We had lunch and then the plan was to watch a movie in my bed and fall asleep. well I did but they didn't. They woke me to ask if they could go downstairs and I said sure. I closed my eyes and they both gave me a kiss. I woke a few times to listen for screams etc, but it was all quiet. Thank you great powers!
When I came down it was time to make cookies. It was easy cookies but they had fun rolling them in sugar and eating them after.

Then it was bath time while I made Elizabeth's bed. After they were all changed and hair dried, we read some books. Poor Ella, the lack of nap finally got to her. Her head was bobbing during the reading of Cinderella III. I am pretty sure it wasn't the story that was making her sleep. I came close though. That was one of the books Elizabeth picked from the library. The others were "chapter books" Junie B Jones.
May your week be good and rested!

Joan, it is so great to catch up with you! Thank you so much for leaving that sweet comment on my blog. I have been wondering how you and your Wuhan cutie were doing! She looks SO much like Quan! Their little eyes have that same spark, and their smiles! Quan's b-day is 11-01-04.
Your girls are just precious and I know you are so proud! What a great mommy you are!
Love all the pics!
