Happy Birthday Big Brother!!!

My brother Kevin is 50 today. Happy Birthday Kevin. I don't know if he reads this blog much as he is a very busy guy but I wanted to acknowledge the big day. Kevin is an awesome big brother and is a wonderful son. He takes Dad to his doctor appointments and we take turns taking Dad to church on Sundays. Thanks Kevin for showing me the love and support all these years.... even during the High School Years :-) I couldn't have asked for a better big brother - even though he wouldn't set me up with his friends when we were younger. ;-)

Kevin has had a busy week celebrating as well. Monday his oldest son, my nephew Jeremy turned 29 and Tuesday was Kevin and Doreen's wedding anniversary. Happy Birthday Jere and Happy Anniversary Kevin and Doreen.

Last night the girls and I went shopping for school supplies. What a circus. I did mean to do it earlier but the girls were not in the best frame of behavior the other times so I didn't want to add to my stress. I made two copies of the sheet from Elizabeth's school and had Elizabeth check them off with me. She is a little nervous moving to 1st grade and we talk about it whenever she brings it up. We talk about what will change and what will be the same. I think she will feel better after Thursday. That is the school open house and we will see her new class room and meet her teacher. I remember one year when I was little that my stomach was in knots the first day. I think that was 1st or 2nd grade. But, it went away after the first or second day. I am hoping for the same for my big First Grader.

UPDATE:
We had a wonderful time at dinner and Elizabeth took pictures:
See what my kids learn:
Elizabeth took some nice pictures of Ella and me:

And this is what Elizabeth did when I took her picture (thanks Poppa)
See how cute a girl can look with a birthday present bow on her head:
Here is my Big Brother after the waiters brought out a saddle for the Old Guy... he really did have fun with it even though this photo looks like Kevin is super serious:
We will call this one Oh My Goodness:
After we got back from dinner we checked the mail and found the community education catalog for our city. We were all very surprised to see Elizabeth on the cover. The picture is from this summer when she took a one week gymnastics camp. Pretty cool.
