Playing in the Rain

Wow, last night was cool.

It got yellow here when the storm started.

The girls and our friend Sydney were inside and I asked them if they wanted to watch the storm. Syd and Elizabeth went out on the porch with me. Ella declined. It was pouring hard... so I asked the girls if they wanted to play in the rain. Off went Elizabeth and Syd laughing and running. Ella again declined. As the rain eased up I asked if they wanted to play in the back and again the two said yes. Ella declined. Elizabeth and Syd ran and played on little riding cars and so badly wanted to go in the alley but I didn't want to leave Ella. Ella then decided to come out and join us. While they were playing in the alley, Syd's mom Beth came. All the girls were wet and having a great time! I was laughing and enjoying the show. One of our neighbors came out and checked their rain gauge... it indicated we got 3/4 of an inch of rain in less than a half hour. Wow.








When Ella was all done she looked down at her pants and said I Wet Mom. Elizabeth did end up taking off her rain jacket and got as wet as Ella and Syd. They had such fun that I think I'll join them next time. :-)
