Elizabeth woke in the middle of the night with stomach issues. She had a couple more trips to the bathroom before the sun rose. In between those visits Ella woke with a normal need to go to the bathroom and then ended in my bed. Elizabeth did that as well. We all got up about 6 and I knew then that Elizabeth wasn't going to go to school. Well my leg was still bad so I also knew it was the day to go to the doctor. To end the day, it was Ella's First Dentist Appt.
Called in and was able to work from home in the morning.
Took Ella to daycare.
Elizabeth got better as the day progressed - Thank God.
I got a doctor appointment in the afternoon. Elizabeth came with and was very good. The doctor took XRays to be sure, but nothing is broken. When I fell on my knees I probably pulled a tendon that runs from hip to knee and then with my weird walking to compensate, I made it worse. She told me to take Mo*trin 3 pills 3 times a day for 5 days. She also said to do some stretching for that area along with cold packs and heat. I had run out of Mot*rin so we stopped at the grocery store on the way home.
Then we took Ella to her first dentist appointment. She did great! Elizabeth was a wonderful big sister who explained everything and held on to Ella when Ella showed some fear. Our Hygienists got her over that hurdle with great talent. I loved how Ella asked questions what things were and they let her touch it all. They also asked if she wanted Bubblegum or Cookie Dough Toothpaste. She picked Cookie Dough but it was gross tasting. She stuck her tongue out and was trying to wipe the taste off with her fingers. From that point on they changed to bubblegum but Ella wouldn't let Carol put the toothpaste in until she tested it on her fingertip. She had to test it each time. She wasn't believing her that it was the good stuff. I loved that about Ella. Prove it to me!!!
Then we took Ella to Chinese dance. Lord she loves it. Her smile is huge and lights up the room. She is starting to pick up the moves and I love her concentration. I'll have to bring the camera next time.
Elizabeth wanted to stay for her class but we had talked about it before hand and I explained again in the car. If you are too sick to go to school, you are usually too sick for after school stuff. Plus my leg was hurting again.
We had supper and went to bed. While rocking Ella we were talking about dance. She said she missed Ling Ling (teacher). She asked who I missed and I said my Mom, Ella said that Mimi (Elizabeth) misses her too. Ella then said she misses her family. I asked who is in her family. Ella's family is her teachers, her mom, her sister and Todd. Thankfully this is a school day for Ella and she can see her teachers!
