Happy New Year

The girls and I had a wonderful time ringing in the New Year. Ella and I stayed up until Midnight. Elizabeth wanted to but she fell asleep watching TV. I admit I took a snooze too but woke before 12 and Ella was still awake. We all slept in the next morning. :-)

The girls were pretty happy while waiting at the Children's Museum.

The girls had time before the crafts opened to play in the regular museum. There were no other kids there yet so they had the run of the kitchen. Elizabeth was making me rice and Ella was sweeping up. I was the restaurant patron and gave them a tip and still had to bus my own dishes. :-)

The it was on to the crafts. We started with making noise makers and hats. It was super crowded in there so I didn't even try taking pictures. We moved on to the Sparkle Collage and it was alot less crowded.

Elizabeth says she was thinking of her cousins and missing them when I took this photo. I think it was stress from the over achiever volunteer that was at our table. She kept suggesting different things to do while the girls were trying to figure it out. She even suggested they use their imagination. Wonder how they can do that when she was chirping in their ear. I tried being polite but I don't think she ever got the message. Luckily Ella didn't seem to be affected by the lady. But I do think it affected Elizabeth's Mojo.

Elizabeth got her Mojo back in time to rule at the Hula Hoops! Ella was pretty good at jumping too.

We ran into friends when we got to the live band and countdown part of the party. It was great hanging out with Amelia and Jodi. I wish we had run into them sooner! (Ella took this picture - pretty good I must say)

Wow, it looks like you guys had a nice Christmas and New Year. We were thinking of trying out the Children's Museum. I guess we will have to check if the group wants to go next year. P.S. I am glad you figured out the MP3 player.
