Ash Wednesday

Last night was Ash Wednesday service and the kids from the Faith Formation classes played major roles. The older classes did the readings and the petitions and the First Graders brought up the gifts. Elizabeth did great. She brought up the water. She even asked if she could have a tiny piece of the stuff you get Mom (Host) but I said that she can't have that until she has received First Communion. :-)

Ella was at times an angel and at times very irritating. At one point I set her back down to stand next to me and she was holding my hand. After a bit I turned and she was laying down (while still holding my hand) with her dress almost at indecent heights and I couldn't help but giggle (quietly of course).

I had a post drafted (now deleted) about some recent events (nothing serious, just work stress and non related personal stuff) but now after listening to the readings and having a good nights sleep I have determined that the best thing for me is to accept the disappointments with grace instead of obsessing over them because I get to experience happiness so often with my girls.

Happy Easter Season.
