Silver Lining

Daycare called at 7:15 to let me know they had to close. Beth's daughter is sick, poor thing and her husband wasn't able to take off from work. So, Beth is taking off from daycare. I hope Syd gets better soon.

So, I called work to say I would not be able to work 8-11 and 2:30-5:00. Its a school day for Ella so I can work while she is at school.

This gave the girls time to finish their breakfast and have a relaxed ride to school. As we were pulling up to school we saw all the kids and teachers outside and heard the fire alarm. So, we pulled up out of the way. They offered to take Elizabeth but I wasn't in a rush because of daycare. I did offer Elizabeth the choice. Did she want to stay with me or her friends? She said she wanted to stay with us so she could be warm. We got to watch the fire trucks come and pretty soon we had the all clear. No idea why the fire alarm was going off but the firefighters checked the school over. This turned out to be a good morning because I could see how well the school handled the emergency and I could be there to let Elizabeth know she was safe. Silver Linings

Ella's silver lining is she gets to watch her favorite TV shows while we wait for the time to leave for the bus. I was in the basement starting a load of clothes and heard her laughing while she was watching Jacks Big Music Show. Now she is watching Wonder Pets. She is very happy because I don't let her watch tv too much during the week at night so she is loving this. Silver Lining.
