Thanks Hannah Mon*tanna...
The day started out low key. Just moving slow and relaxed. We had plans to go to the flower store and the movies. Before we did that I HAD to mow the lawn... it was pretty lumpy. I am happy to say I got the mower started first try out. Hope it lasts for the summer. But we didn't have time to go shopping and the movie.
So we had some lunch and off to the movies we went.
Its hard to believe but the HM movie was the perfect movie to watch with my girls on Mother's Day. We picked it because Elizabeth has been wanted to see it and was worried she wouldn't have enough points earned in Good Behavior before it was out of the theatre. She has 65 of 100 points. So, being the Boss I decided we would call it close enough.
Ella fell asleep in the car on the way there and stayed asleep through the ads and previews. She woke up about 2o minutes into the movie.
I went through so many emotions during this movie.
When it started and Elizabeth looked up at me in happy wonder, I had a mixture of sadness and happiness. I was sad that I didn't have a chance to have many moments like that with my mom and happy that I could give that to my daughter. In a way it was a connection to my Mom and it felt right.
Later when Miley was singing to her Dad I thought of my dad and the work it took to raise 3 kids alone. So I wished my Dad Happy Mother's day in my heart.
I am blessed to be the mom of two loving sweet girls and the daughter of Grace and Richard. They taught me unconditional love and unending support. Thanks Mom! Thanks Dad!
After the movie we went out to eat chinese and it was Yummo. The funny thing is all the other people in the restaurant were alot older. One couple was leaving and the man came by with his walker and smiled at Ella and said bye. Ella turned and said "He's a nice boy Mom" The whole place laughed. So did I.
We also have a new dance we are going to practice its called Hoedown Throwdown. Elizabeth has it almost all down and is teaching Ella and I. Its a cute song from the movie.
Hope everyone had a wonderful day too.
