One more Anniversary

Two years ago today I landed in Minnesota and was now a Mom to TWO!!!

Thanks for being my travel buddy Joanne. My girls love and adore their Grandma Jo!

Here is the entry from our Adoption Blog:
We made it! Thank God! We were so happy to get home with Isabella and I couldn’t wait to see Elizabeth. With all the planes we had been on prior to the last two, there were no problems. I really have no complaints but both flights had issues. The plane from Guangzhou to Narita had to pull back into the gate as the auxiliary power went out. That was fixed within 30 minutes. Then we landed in Narita and while waiting for that plane to board, there was an announcement that the plane was going to be delayed due to mechanical difficulties and we would need to use a new plane. We left almost 2 hours late. It could have been worse but it made me even more anxious to get home to my family.

The flight itself was fine – Poor Ella couldn’t get very comfortable though but she did pretty well. We made it through customs and out the door to the waiting family. I saw Elizabeth right away and made a bee line for her. Ella, Elizabeth and I made a tight squeeze. Then Ella and Elizabeth hugged and Elizabeth said, she’s hugging me Mama. It was amazing. It was wonderful seeing everyone at the airport as well as everyone we saw at home. What a nice way to end our trip.

This picture is my girls at home on May 19th, 2007. I also had that picture made into a mouse pad and I see it every day at work.
