Baby Showers and Nursing Homes

That's a book end type of heading isn't it?

Saturday our house was the location for a baby shower for Flynn. Her mom Greta is leaving in a couple of weeks for China. Julie, Mary and Tracy did the hard stuff. They made the food, took care of the decorations and had the beverages all ready. It was a fun time for all I think. The girls had fun with their friends and I had fun with my friends, the moms. We can't wait for Greta to bring Flynn home and then its Kirsten's turn followed by Deb and Kami. Elizabeth and I met this great group of Single Moms when we were waiting for Ella. The group continues to grow as the other waiting Moms bring their kids home.

Sunday Elizabeth went swimming at a friends house and Ella hung out with me. We went to Dad's current place and packed up stuff. We will be washing clothes and moving them to his new place this week. Dad is moving to a new place with more managed care. Not quite a nursing home but no longer at the assisted living phase. Please pray the move goes well and Dad continues to be accepting of it. Elizabeth is going to be my helper that day.

This morning I was off work to bring Dad to a couple of appointments. Elizabeth has a sore tummy so she came with. We don't get time together with just the two of us so much and I know I miss the special bond we had so I am happy when it works out. That is why I asked her if she wanted to help me this week.
