50

My oldest friend in the world turned 50 this week. I'm next.

Tomorrow my second oldest friend in the world is having a party to celebrate her baby graduating from high school..... That seems so far away for me.

I am the odd duck in my group.

But, I am extending my group so I am not so odd. LOL

I know I am the old fart and some may question why I have a 7 year old and a 4 year old when I am about to turn 50. I don't question it. This is God's plan.

I am blessed to have the friends I have... old and new.

I was happy to celebrate 50 with Mary tonight and can't wait to celebrate Matty's accomplishments tomorrow with his mom Reenie. I hope Reenie doesn't mind but I gave out her address tonight for the party tomorrow. :-)

Thank you Jesus for my friends, old and new.

If you can't tell... I had a BLAST tonight. It was so good being out with friends knowing my girls were having a great time with their friends.

Friends have always been important to me and the last few years I have had to put my adult friends on the backburner while I took care of Elizabeth and then Ella. I think I am at or close to the point where I can have more adult time without my kids and know they are happy too.

50 is the new 30. LOL.

Bring it on.

Elizabeth and Isabella... you are sleeping upstairs and YOU ARE MY LIFE. I am so happy. How did I get so lucky? I am the daughter of Grace and Richard and the Mom of Elizabeth and Isabella and the sister of Kevin and Jim and the sister in law of Doreen and Pam and the Aunt of Jeremy and Lindsay, Lee, Josh and Laura, Alissa, Grace Ann, Madeline, Noah and Hunter and the only thing I would change is to have Grace Marie Polman with us all.

Hey 50 is nothing! You are showing us all how it is done, and done well!
