Nanny Day

I have a Nanny today. My daycare provider had to close today because they need to go to a funeral. A close family friend of theirs passed away. I am glad they are able to go to the Funeral and also glad my niece Alissa was able to stay with my girls today. I will miss Alissa in many ways when she leaves for college in the fall. But, I will also miss having a wonderful babysitter that my kids love.

When I got in the car and was able to head straight to work I thought back to my days before kids. I can't do direct shots to work now and really appreciate I was able to do it today. When I have the girls, I leave the house at 7:20 and usually make it to work by 7:55 after dropping them at daycare. Today I left at 7:30 and got to work by 7:45 even with the rain. LOVE IT! Maybe I'll look into getting a college girl to come sit with the girls next summer. Wonder if Alissa wants that job. I'll have to talk to her for sure.

I do need to leave work early today because Alissa has tickets to something called The Frey? or is it The Fray? I don't know. But both Alissa and Grace Ann know who it is and I guess they are good. I think my age is showing. LOL.
