Yesterday the girls were invited to two birthday parties.
The first was for our friend Kiah. She is part of our travel group and was from the same orphanage as Elizabeth. She turned 7 and had a wonderful party at an indoor ice arena. Super fun even though I did fall at the end on my end. :-)
The girls loved it. Ella said it was AMAZING fun Mom... very much fun Mom. ;-) Elizabeth was very nervous about falling. She took a break for awhile because she was not having fun. After cake and ice cream she tried it again and liked it. I was proud of Elizabeth for giving it another try. I am also happy that Ella loved it. By the end of the two hours Ella was skating by herself. Both girls fell a bit but no one got hurt. And thankfully there were no pictures of my not so graceful tumble. I get a chuckle thinking about how my face must have looked... LOL
Thank you Mary for helping Ella while you were helping your own daughter. I was trying to help Elizabeth at this time.

Kiah is the pretty girl in the pink vest

Here is Elizabeth being brave and enjoying herself at the same time.

Future Ice Skater maybe?

From there we went home and I had hopes of naps. My girls said no way so I was just going to rest because I'm old. That didn't happen either. After giving it up we got ready for the next event. This one was a birthday party for Ella's boyfriend. Yup... she has a boyfriend. At least that is what she calls him. Adrian is a sweet boy from daycare. His party was to celebrate turning 4 and it was at a local park with a wading pool. So bathing suits for the girls.
It was a great time for the girls and I enjoyed getting to know Adrians mom and dad. They were very nice to all of us and we had hot dogs on the grill with some great salads and chips. Mmmm nummy!
Here are my bathing beauties. They picked these two pieces out from Elizabeth's set of suits. They did this while I was trying to nap... sorry I didn't get a better picture of them.

Elizabeth and Eli sharing a towel. Eli's sister Lucy is in the picture above. She is next to Ella. They used to go to our daycare too and they are great kids.

Some of the kids with the balloons. Way fun. After this the balloons did start popping. Ella's was one of them. Sweet Eli gave her his. Actually Eli gave it to Adrian and Adrian gave it to Ella. He likes her alot.

Ella has great taste in boyfriends... isn't Adrian a cutie?

Tonight after work we went to the library and then home for supper. We had corn on the cob with mac and cheese and salad. We spent a nice time chatting. Ella was still eating when Elizabeth was done so I asked Ella some questions..
What's your favorite food? "Corn on the cob, Mac and Cheese, Salad and Milk"
Do you like Eggs? "Yes"
How about Hamburgers? "yes"
Do you like pizza? "yes"
How about fried worms? "Ye... NO MOM" "I Like Everything" :-)
Then I asked Ella what she wants to be when she grows up? "A mermaid"
What color? "Red"
Sleep good girls!
