Night Guard AKA Twoboys.

Elizabeth and I took Ella to the follow up appointment this afternoon to have her butterfly checked out. No more adjustments needed which is great news. But, then they showed Ella the mouth guard she will need to wear at night to encourage her upper jaw to move forward. They had multiple colors to choose from, turquoise, white, leopard, US Flag. Ella asked, "You mean you don't have Pink?" Sorry, no. "Ok, I'll take the twoboys" I told her it was turquoise and she said what color is that? Green honey. "Ok, I'll take turquoise." It was fine until they put the binders in to attach to the guard. That was not too fun for her. But we can take our time getting her used to it and that is great.

Elizabeth would have picked Leopard. :-)

It was nice having Itty with today too. She was busy working in her notebook until Ella showed discomfort and bang... there was big sister to hold her hand.

Ella also told the doctor about the Tinker Bell Fairy Magic Wand we used. The doctor was confused until I said it was incentive to get her to let me make the adjustments with the butterfly. Every time we had a successful adjustment, Ella got to wave the wand and make the cool sound. Thanks Liz for letting us use it. I'll be bringing it back in next week so we can still use it as incentive for the night guard.

I'll try to post a picture of Ella with her TwoBoys... if she lets me.

Way to go Ella, you're a brave girl just like your Mom. And Elizabeth is a wonderful big sister!

Wow, that is quite a contraption! But Ella seems to be taking it into stride - what a big girl!

We go to the orthodontist this afternoon to see what progress we have made with the expander (fingers crossed!)
