Elizabeth goes to Faith Formation every week. The first week we found out our cousin Sarah from Marshall will be the helper for the Second Grade class. Sarah goes to college at St Thomas and volunteers at church. I keep meaning to bring a camera so I can get her and the girls together. Maybe next class.
Elizabeth was a little nervous the first class and it was great having Sarah with her - she made Elizabeth feel tons better.
Last night I did get a chance to chat with Sarah after FF. Elizabeth and Ella had already run off to run in the "little gym" (Other St Markers will know what I mean) to run around. Sarah told me that Elizabeth is great in class.
Last night one of the teachers brought in their daughter's piggy bank for part of the lesson. She asked if it would be ok to borrow some money from the bank to buy a CD they wanted. She only needed $2 more dollars and it had to be cash. The kids started out figuring out how many quarters that would be as well as dines. They were all saying Go for it, Do it. Elizabeth raised her hand and said "I don't think that right" The other kids then stopped and though about it and agreed with Elizabeth.
It was good to hear Elizabeth stood by the strength of her convictions and I was proud of her. I pray it continues as she gets older. It was great to see she makes good choices even when Mom is not around. GREAT JOB ELIZABETH!. Thank you Sarah for sharing that with me.
