Ella had her butterfly (aka palate expander) checked today. They check it every couple of months to see how the night mask is working on moving her upper jaw forward. All was great. She is just so happy to go there and see all her friends. She loves talking to Dr Cermian and all her staff and they all get a big kick out of Ella.
On the way to the check up room we saw the staff trying to encourage a bigger girl into her exam room. She was not happy to be there. Ella ended up helping her out. After her check up was over Dr Cermain asked if she would like to show her butterfly to another patient. She explained to Ella that the young girl was scared. Ella was all for it. So off she hops off the chair and goes with the Dentist to the room next door. The poor girl next door had her hand over her mouth and wouldn't let her mom and grandmother look inside. Ella went right up and showed her butterfly and said it was easy and it didn't hurt. I asked her if there was anything she couldn't eat and she whispered Gum. :-) It was very sweet how nice Ella was to this girl and don't you know it worked? That sweet girl showed everyone her butterfly and opened her mouth wide. We left and Ella got two stickers and made everyone so happy
I told Ella I was very proud of her. She wanted to know why so I told her. I told her she is always excited to go to her appointments and that she is so nice to everyone there. And to top it off you were so sweet to that scared girl. Good Job Ella! You make a momma proud.
Update:
As we were eating dinner I mentioned my feet were cold. Of course I was barefoot. Elizabeth said, excuse me and ran upstairs. I thought maybe she had to go to the bathroom. I was wrong She came down with a pair of slippers for me. What a sweetheart. Thanks Itty!
