Day Care is closed today to celebrate their oldest daughter's 18th Birthday. Happy Birthday Bri.
I took the day off instead of working from home.
The girls got to sleep in a bit and we got Elizabeth to school around 8:15. We were able to help her bring in the snacks for the class as well as her backpack. It was great being there while she did her morning routine.
Then I got Ella to her school by 9 and I got to watch her sign in and go to book circle before I left.
From there I went to the Doctor so they could do a blood draw to test my thyroid. I have an appointment with the actual doctor in a few weeks. I am sure he will say my level is normal and will keep me at the same level of meds. I also bet he says something about if I would lose weight I would have more energy. I will do my best to not knock him out. :-)
While at the lab I ran into Tami W and got caught up. Nice seeing you Tami.
Then I went home and put 6 bags in the car to bring to Good Will. I then had an hour before getting Ella.
After getting Ella from school we went to lunch and then to her Ear Nose and Throat Doctor Appointment. When I found out day care was closing today, I called and made the appointment. It was past time for getting her ears checked. I figured the tubes were no longer in her ears so it was good to go in.
The audiologist did some sound testing and Ella thought the game was fun. She was told to put the ball in the bucket when she heard the different sounds. She did great. They also took a audio picture of her ears and her ear drums are moving normally. That test also indicated the tubes were gone.
Then we saw the Doctor. He confirmed the tubes were not there and said there was nothing of concern so we didn't need to have another surgery. YIPPEE. He did ask if Ella was having any bone grafts soon but no, not for this year anyway. We will go back in a few months to be checked again but we are on the wait and see mode. If she needs them, it could be they will wait until she is scheduled for a cleft related surgery and do it at the same time.
This mom sighed a big sigh of relief. And Ella got a sticker from the nurse. She also asked for one for her sister. What a sweetheart.
Now we are watching Dora's Crystal Kingdom before we go get Elizabeth from school.
