A great benefit of having a scanner is I can finally document Ella as a baby. When we met in China in 2007, Dr Chen gave me a photo album from the orphanage. It has pictures of Ella from Sept 2005 through spring of 2007. These pictures are priceless and I love every one. They make me smile but also bring up sadness. I love my Ella and am sad I was not there to help her through all the cleft stuff. I am thankful she was cared for so well and hope some day to thank them in person.
Here are some of the early pictures of Ella. They are from September, October and November of 2005. So she was a little more than 6 months old. Ella had her lip closed in Feb of 2006 and I really think these pictures are a blessing. I love Ella no matter how she looked, bald head and all. :-)
