Who is that?

Ella is going through a little bit of missing me / us during the day.  I think its more because of the holiday break then anything big and that she will bounce back.  To help, I got some duplicates made of some pictures.  She had been bringing a family picture with but it was folded and pretty worn out from Ella shoving it in her pocket.  So I got extra and a little photo album.

When Ella saw this one, she asked me who is the baby?   She had a hard time believing it was her.  :-)

When Ella saw this picture she said Oh the Pink Bear, my favorite.  This was a picture of her in China with the bear I had sent in the care package.  Unfortunately, we lost the bear the second day we were together.  I put it down on a table in the hotel lobby while I was doing something else.  We left to do some official business but called right away.  The bear was already gone. 

Ella then wanted to know where the pink shirt was.  We were in Target picking out picture frames with other people in the same aisle - of course.  So, Ella asks if she still has that cute pink shirt.  "No, it stayed in China with your foster mom".  "Oh... I just borrowed it then Mom?"  "Yup that is about right and some other little girl is wearing it now. "  "But Mom, are you sure that is a picture of me?  I can't see my cleft lip. "  I wonder what the guy looking at frames thought of our conversation.  :-)  

Ella had no comment on this picture.  - But, I love it.  Thank you Grandma Jo for getting a smiling shot of us while Ella was just starting to show us her silly side in China. Next week it will be 4 years since I got Ella's referral... amazing.
