Level 4 party and Speech results.

Last night Elizabeth's gymnastic's team had a Pajama party instead of practice because they reached preset team and individual goals.  They were able to wear PJ's and they all brought combs/brushes/hair stuff along with nail polish.  A fun time.  They even had Root Beer Floats.  My girls are just like me though - not a fan of pop with ice cream.

One of the other moms got back to gymnastics early and took some pictures.

Here is part of the team showing off their form and their new hairdos

Elizabeth is in the pink top and green pants.

Yesterday I had a meeting with Ella's speech therapist at school.  Last fall the St Paul schools had evaluated Ella as 55% intelligble and now she has jumped up to 80%   Thank  you to the speech teams that have helped Ella along this path.  She really is making great strides.  I disagreed with the 55% rating all along but I know Ella is getting better because alot of other people have noticed too.

But, in honor of keeping it real for my girls - The rest of the evening did not go well.  It has been a long week of being on the go and too much work for all of us and I am tired.  There are no warning signs when I hit my limit, but when it hits I overreact over simple problems.

I had reached my limit of my girls not listening to me and got very irritated last night when we were not able to head home as quickly as I wanted after gymnastics.  The ride home ended up being a preach fest from me and when we go in, I sent Ella straight to bed and made Elizabeth sit down and finish her homework as soon as we got home (even though it was close to 9 pm).

After they were in bed, I was able to clean my kitchen plus enjoy a bowl of ice cream.  Tonight it will be low key relaxing at home and early bedtime for us all.

Way to go Ella! She is such a smart and lovely girl.

Forgive yourself Mom, and move on. You're carrying a heavy load an no one including your daughters expect you to be perfect.

Enjoy a light weekend.
