It was our classic spend the morning the van day. I didn't make Ella happy when I told her it was time to find a dance class closer to where Elizabeth takes gymnastics. Ella loves her teacher and I would love to respect that but I am tired of driving one direction, turn around and go just as far back in the other direction and then repeat to get Elizabeth and then back again to home. But maybe we'll take the summer off both Dance and Gymnastics and see what happens in the fall.
After lunch Elizabeth and I dropped off Ella at a friend's for a play date. Nice family and a sweet boy. Zhen and Ella are different Kindergarten classes at school but met during their speech therapy. I see a great friendship developing and am thankful Zhen's dad approached us for a play date.
During that same time Elizabeth and I got to hang out... just us with nothing distracting us. We went to Southdale and walked around and looked in stores Elizabeth wanted to. We didn't spend much money but the time together was priceless. About half way through our time together Elizabeth turned to me and grabbed my arm and hung on tight. Then she hopped into my arms and had me carry her up the escalator... just like the old days when it was just her and I. I had tears in my eyes because we both have missed this connection. Thank you for spending time with me Elizabeth and I promise to make one on one dates with you more often. Good chat, good walking, Great Company!
Tomorrow family is coming over to celebrate Ella's birthday. Can't wait to see everyone.
Spring is on it's way!
