Family Reunion

The weather forcast was a little concerning but it ended up being Fantaboulus... :-)

We got there early so we could see everyone.  My brother Jim and his family pulled in a few minutes after us.  It is so good seeing them every summer.  But, I guess this is their last year coming back to MN from FL for their resort week with friends.  So now it will be our turn to go to FL in March.  Oh the struggle.  ;-) And Jim and Pam and the girls will come back at other times too.

When we said Grace before the meal, my Aunt Joanne said there were 81 people there.  Wow.  Jerry and Joanne hosted a wonderful party and it was great seeing everyone.  There were alot of kids for my girls to play with so I was able to relax and visit.  At one point, both girls were out on the boat and I joked I was going to go into town to see if I could find some fun at the bar.   LOL

Ella was ready to go tubing again and wanted Shelby with her again.  I didn't get out to the boat in time and also didn't have my camera with.  But, luckily my cousin Julie did.  But, at some point Ella told Shelby she could do the tube alone and Shelby was sent to sit on the back of the boat.  :-)  Thank  you again for being so nice to my girls Shelby.  They love you like a big sister.

They also had a big jumping platform that Elizabeth spent alot of time on.  I am so glad both of my girls are comfortable in the water and they are both very good about wearing their life jackets on the dock and in the water.  Here is Elizabeth on the jumping platform... again, thank you Julie!
Saturday was also my Dad's birthday.  But, this was the first reunion we went to without him.  He didn't feel up to making the trip this year and was missed by many people.  We are so blessed as this is Mom's side of the family but they all love Dad like a brother.

After we left Elk River at 7pm, the girls decided they were up to going to see the fireworks at Kirsten and Elizabeth's for the Minneapolis Aquatennial.  Ella took a little nap and Elizabeth just rested her eyes.  Once we were in K and baby E's condo, my girls had plenty of energy and had a great time.

Sunday we slept in but did go see Dad in the afternoon.  He was doing great and loved the cookies as well as visiting with us.  He was out on a field trip with a few of the other residents so we waited outside and when he got back we stayed out and it made the visit even nicer.  It was good to relax without all the heat.  Love you Dad... Happy Birthday and many many more.
