Back to school

I am really proud of my girls today - they woke up at 6 am and got all ready for the day.  There were no argurments and they got dressed, brushed and took care of their backpacks without any struggle.  We even had time for breakfast at home instead of in the van plus I was able to make lunch.  We left at 6:45 and they were the first ones at Before Care at 7:00.  I was able to make it to work on time at 7:30.  Wow.  Way to go Elizabeth and Ella!

I just can't believe Elizabeth is in 4th grade and Ella is 1st Grade.  They looked so nice in their uniforms and Mrs G next door came out when we were doing pictures and wished the girls well. How nice.  :-)

I really wish I worked different hours so they didn't have to get up so early but with my work, I am gone pretty much 7:30 to 5:00 counting travel time back to get them.  So, my girls get to go to Before and After Care at school.  It gets a little crazy but they seem to like it.  I know we all would love it if we had more time together after school though.  I have tried and can't get my hours changed.   So, this is our life.

Luckily I can find some helpful friends that help reduce the schedule a bit.

Every Tuesday they will be going home with their Piano teacher.  She is the same teacher Elizabeth has had during her Enrichment classes piano lessons at school.  Lou is also a mom of two girls that go to the same school.  I contacted her when I found the cost of After Care had gone up to see if she knew when the enrichment catalog was coming out because I wanted to change piano lessons to Tuesdays.  Well Lou said she has lesssons at home on Tuesdays and would love to pick my girls up from school to bring them to her house.  Whew, that helps a ton.  So, I will be picking the girls up at Lou's and they live less than a mile from our house.  Thank you Lou!

P.S.  I just had to add this one of Ella.  This hat is a State Fair purchase... howdy Partner
