TURKEYS and PARTIES
You get to see turkeys when you go to a party at a nature reserve. Elizabeth took this picture and the turkey had 2 buddies with him too.
Ella and Gregory have been Best Friends since day one of Kindgergarten last year. And they are in the same class together this year. They always greet each other with a huge smile and a great hug. It was Gregory's birthday party and I think everyone had a great time. Poor Ella obsessed over Poision Ivy though. I mentioned a sign that said, don't touch and that is all she could think of during the outside adventures in the park. And they were never near the poision ivy. Sorry Ella, didn't mean to make you worry.
GYMNASTICS
Last night was Ella's first night of Gymnastics. She had taken the preschool level classes but now she was going to be in the BIG GYM where Elizabeth is. Ella had taken dance last year but I was going to change her to a dance school near gymnastics so I didn't have to drive all over the place. Instead, Ella decided she wanted to try gymnastics again. As you can see from that smile, its good to follow what you want. She had that smile the whole hour as well.
And, here she is lining up to go in. I have to remember to bring a brush along with binders so we can pull her hair back easier. But, of course I have been saying that all summer for Elizabeth's hair and I think I remembered once. Elizabeth was already in the gym for her session so I didn't get any pictures with her. But, the girls saw each other and I got to watch them from the upstairs parent's viewing/preschool gym area.
I was so proud of both of my girls and told them so. Elizabeth had about 6 friends move up to level 5 this week and she stayed at level 4. She stepped up and showed great leadership by helping out the new girls that had moved up to level 4 from Dynos and she had a smile all night. My guess is she will be moving to level 5 in Jan. or Feb which works out fine for us all. For the longest time she didn't want to move up because that meant she was going to have to compete and she didn't want to. She has become more comfortable with that. I would like her to try one meet and if its too hard on her, we will find something else but, I have a feeling she will be just fine. Ella was smiling all night and did great in her session. I hope she continues to enjoy it and will learn all the new moves and will be doing flips, cartwheels and handstands all over the place soon. This morning in the van she was asking how long it will take to move to Dynos... Yikes. :-)
