Party Weekend

The girls got to have a sleep over together on Friday at a hotel with our friend Beth.  Her daughter was turning 10 and they hosted 12 kids for swimming and fun.  God bless you Beth - I could not have done that.  The girls had a blast.  I went to bed early and was happy for that as I felt like I was getting sick. 

Before the sleep over we did a family dinner at our favorite Chinese Restaurant.  We call it The Great Wall

After I picked up the girls on Saturday morning, I dropped Elizabeth at another friend's house.  She was going with that family to another hotel / pool party.  Yikes.   Then Ella and I went grocery shopping.  After cleaning the house, we went to Todd's for a BBQ.  On the way there we stopped at a bike shop and had training wheels put on the bike Ella is going to learn on.  We took her to the park close to Todds and she was a demon!

When we got home Ella and I made her birthday cake for the family party today. 

Today we went to church with Dad and Uncle Kevin and Ella and I brought Dad home with us.  Ella showed Dad how well she can ride her bike and then family came over.  Thank you Doreen, Kevin, Alissa, Jerry, Joanne and Dad.  Ella and I loved having you all over.  Then Elizabeth came home about 2 pm and got to see everyone too.

Isn't that a cool bed?  A friend at work made it for me to give to Ella.  It is the present from Poppa.  When Elizabeth saw it she whispered "I want one too Mom"  Good thing I asked Judy and Todd to make two.  ;-)

All three of us took naps when we got back from bringing Poppa home but only poor Elizabeth had her picture taken.

She was so snuggled up in the couch that I didn't see her at first when I came down from my nap.  I ended up waking her when she heard me calling for her.  Luckily she could get back to sleep.  


p.s.  just thinking that the words "Party Weekend" have changed in meaning from 10 years ago.  :-)
