DOUBLE DIGITS.
Elizabeth is now 10 years old. Wow. We celebrated by doing what she wanted. She asked if we could go to McDonalds for breakfast and we did. We were not able to get moving super fast this morning so it ended up being drive thru but that was ok with the Birthday Girl.
Ella did a great job taking the pictures.
When Elizabeth was younger she wanted to be a doctor or a teacher. I asked today what she wants to be, she didn't know. But, she knew she didn't want to be a teacher. They work too hard Mom. Maybe I could be a teacher's helper or a math tutor. Those sound like good choices Elizabeth and may you continue to be a good student!
When I got to work, this is the picture that popped up on my rotating wall paper:
Five + Five = Ten.
Lots of changes in those 5 years.
You no longer love pink
You became a big sister
You changed schools and buildings
Your birthday party choices now include requests for sleep overs
You are loving gymnastics
You can ride a two wheel bike without training wheels
You are a sweet, strong willed, smart, beautiful, lovely girl that fluctuates between being able to express what is on your mind to being nervous and back again. You are on the cusp of big changes sweet girl. I hope you always speak your mind with me and that we are always able to discuss the stuff that happens.
I said a prayer for your birth parents today too. I am sure they were thinking of you and I am so thankful for the life they created and pray for their healing.
I love you Elizabeth Grace ShiPing! I can't wait to see what this year brings for you.

Happy Double-Digit Birthday dear Elizabeth. You've grown so much but remain the sweet girl I met years ago. Thanks for being such a great role model for your younger friends.
