Crack Me Up

Today on the way to school one of the girls wanted to know if a boy is picking on you, does that mean he loves you?

So, that led to a discussion of how sometimes boys at this age will pick on someone if they have a crush on you but that crush is not the same thing as love.  Turns out the boy in question was really just being mean to one of their friends so it was nice to have another discussion about ok behavior from friends and how to deal with it.  But.... somehow it led to a discussion of boyfriends from my past.   I was chuckling all the way.

Elizabeth said, you know Ella Mom had boyfriends way back when she was young and in college.  I broke the tough news to them that I had boyfriends even after college.  Elizabeth said something about how I told her everything even about the kissing.  That is all I ever told them... but I told her today that parents don't have to tell kids everything and that I did alot more in my life then they are aware.  LOL  When  Elizabeth mentioned kissing Ella said GROSS.... and said she was never going to have a boyfriend.  

May these conversations always happen please... even when the roles really are reversed and they are the ones with real boyfriends.   I guess I better start getting my self ready for that so I don't say "OH GROSS"
