I am so behind in updating our lives on this blog. I have drafts started and will finish them but we have had a bunch of changes lately and I am trying to keep up. The main focus behind all the changes is to have a more balanced life. Soon we are going to be changing to a summer routine and this year will be the best yet. The girls are going back to their old daycare where they are loved and where life is fun. The only camp I have them scheduled for is the one week Adoption Day Camp. Other than that we are planning a lazy summer. Can't wait.
In the meantime it is the last week of school and its been a tough year. Just yesterday Ella showed me her project on Japan and she was sad she only got 19 out of 20 points. She felt that was a bad score. Both Elizabeh and I told her she did great but Ella wasn't listening. That is one of many examples as to why we need to refocus on balancing and school changes are coming. Pushing kids to perfection is not our family motto - we try our best and turn in homework on time and study for tests. We don't do perfect. So sweet Ella - 19 out of 20 is awesome and I hope as time passes you will be proud of your work as I am already!
Elizabeth has been studying for her finals - yup, they have finals in 5th grade and 2nd grade - and we are all looking forward to chilling out and relaxing. She has been working really hard on her subjects and I can see some great changes for her. I love seeing the maturity she shows and hope she continues to figure out the organizational skills needed to manage homework assignments with tests and social life.
So, when things settle back down, I'll update the blog with all the birthday, gymantics, First Communion, school stuff and just plain fun stuff.
