School is Good!

Thank goodness it has gone well.

Here is how my girls looked last Thursday morning:

It was good from that moment forward. They both got ready fast and couldn't wait to start the day. Elizabeth was happy to put on her uniform and go to school.

We tried to get Ella to smile, but that didn't work out so Elizabeth leaned in and got a good close up.

Before we left for the day, Elizabeth opened up a card from our daycare provider. It was a beautiful card that celebrated the time Beth spent with my daughter. I appreciate all that Beth has done for my girls. I am glad Ella will be in her care now too.

We then dropped Ella off at daycare. She was a little confused when we left but they have a new baby at daycare so Ella was easily distracted.

Yinghua is a few blocks from daycare so we drove up and parked and walked in together. Once we got inside, Elizabeth showed her first signs of being nervous. I walked with her to her room to turn in the last of the supplies I hadn't dropped off yet. Then I walked her back to the before care area. They had other kids there and they offered Elizabeth some paper and markers. She was able to get past her nerves and was starting to be confident again. I felt the tears coming for me so I knew I had to leave. I had a few tears walking back to my car but was very proud of my girl. Here is a picture of Elizabeth with her teacher:

Elizabeth had a great time as did Ella. It was hard getting Ella to leave daycare. I was glad I left work early as I was anxious to hear about Elizabeth's day. We got there and she didn't want to leave. The same thing happened on Friday too. Here's hoping that feeling stays for Elizabeth.

Hope we continue to get a good groove going in the mornings and that the week is good for us all.

Have a wonderful week!
