Its hard to believe that its the end of September already. It was a beautiful day today and it started out pretty cool. Last night Elizabeth was watching a movie in my room and fell asleep in my bed. Since I was so tired, I left her where she was. This morning we had a cool discussion when we woke. Ella was still sleeping in her room so Elizabeth and I had some one on one time. The conversation started with Elizabeth asking me if it was almost night time in China. We then had a pretty cool discussion about her foster mom, birth mom and me. We sure wish we knew their names. But, Elizabeth decided she was going to draw a picture for her Foster Mom. She is also going to do one for Ella's Foster Mom because Ella doesn't draw too good yet. Elizabeth also wanted to make sure that she told her Foster Mom that she was now 5. She didn't think her Foster mom knew that. So, I am going to remind her tomorrow so she can start drawing and then I am going to send a package to her orphanage soon. Luckily there is a family heading to PingXiang in October that is offering to take packages. So we will get the letters written and translated and off they go. The funny part of the conversation was when Elizabeth said, Mom, will you go with me to China... I said of course. She then said, when I have a baby I want you to go with me to China Mom to bring her home. :-)
Then we hung out for a bit before Ella woke. We did playdough where she made Gingerbread Boys and Girls and I made couches, tvs, chairs, antennas and basic decorating items. She then play acted with them. I just love Elizabeth's imagination!
Earlier in the week she asked me how Strawberry Shortcake got her name and if crickets can laugh. I love these moments!
Joan.
