Elizabeth was off school today and Ella had a follow up appointment with the ENT for a follow up to check her ears.
Elizabeth was glad she got to come with. She is always interested in Ella's doctor appointments and is bummed when she can't go.
On the way there the girls decided they wanted to change their names. I am not supposed to tell anyone though. So, if you see them, don't tell them I narced. Elizabeth decided to be called Rainbow and Ella decided on Cinderella. I didn't want to be left out so I decided to be called Esmeralda. I think at one point Ella changed her name to Pochantas too.
We got to the parking ramp in time for our 9 am appointment but both girls wanted me to park on the top level. Which I did. Once we checked in, the audiologist tried to test Ella's hearing but Ella was not in the mood. She kept looking every where and not just when the sounds came up. But, the technician took pictures in her ears and saw the left ear was blocked with something. We were sent back to the waiting room and then brought in to the Doctor's exam room. Elizabeth told Dr Listen that she had been there before when we thought Ella had put a pebble in her ear. Elizabeth said, I know you and have been here before. That made him smile. So, when he also saw that Ella's ear was blocked, he said, lets go to the rock removing room :-) He took out the chunk of dirt and wax. I am not kidding when I say it was about the size of a kernel of partially popped popcorn. Ella was a trooper and Elizabeth was right next to me watching. All is good with Ella's ears and tubes and we are good for a few months. Both girls scored stickers and a toy.
Then it was off to Daycare for them (Ella was very happy to have Me-me with her - she calls Elizabeth Me-me) and I went to work.

It is so sweet the girls are such good friend... Rainbow and Cinderella-Pocahontis. Ewwww- gross ear wax removal. Hope her selective hearing gets better with that gob gone.
