Fun Times

Yesterday we hosted the China Moms Get Together. I met this great group of moms and moms to be when I was in the process of Ella's adoption. They get together every month and we were happy to host yesterday. It was a beautiful day even with the wind. We all played outside and had hotdogs for lunch. The grill would blow out with the wind so lunch took a little longer than I was hoping. Then the girls played more and more. Jodi brought a new toy for Elizabeth and Ella and everyone had fun with it yesterday. Thanks Jodi!

Elizabeth had fun with the hula hoops and playing with JunFen from school. We were glad that JunFen and her mom Karin were able to make it. Karin came home about a month ago from China with JunFen and now JunFen is in Elizabeth's class.

There was alot of swinging and wagon pulling and all around good fun.

My Elizabeth took some of those pictures and the others were emailed to me from Elizabeth H and Julie W. Thanks guys!

Elizabeth, Ella and I took a nap when it was all done. I slept about 45 minutes but my two blessings slept 2 hours. So, when they woke at 6:30 we had peanut butter sandwiches and off to the park we went. They saw this park the other night when we were at Snuffy's. That night I wouldn't let them play but knew it wouldn't be long before we went back. We are now going to call it the Red Park but its attached to Groveland School in Highland Park and Groveland Rec Center.

Once we got home, the girls had a bath and then we sat down to watch Mary Poppins and enjoy the popcorn from today. We all fell asleep on the floor. Today was my turn to take Dad to church but he called yesterday saying his legs weren't working great. When I called him this morning he was doing alot better and thought he could handle it. Thankfully my Dad is very understanding and was ok with me skipping today. Since the girls didn't get to bed on time last night they were still sleeping when I called. Its now almost 9 am and Ella is still sleeping. We will bring Dad some groceries when she wakes up. Elizabeth woke about 7:30. I bet we all have naps again today. I am thinking of taking the girls to Wisconsin today to visit with friends but I will wait and see. One good thing is we have tomorrow off too and can relax.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!
