A Year Ago Today

May 19, 2007
Joanne, Ella and I came home from China one year ago today. There was a great group of people at the airport but the only one I wanted to see first was Elizabeth. The three of us had our first family hug and then my two girls held hands. I remember Elizabeth's awed voice saying, She's holding my hand Momma.

Thank you everyone for supporting us and helping us this last year. I think the girls and I are in a groove. Elizabeth and Ella still hold hands. They also laugh together, scream as girls do (oh my aching head), swing and slide, pick on each other, gang up against Mom, and continue to be the joy of my life. Thanks Girls!!!!

You and I have two people in common - Deb Kerkvliet and Nancy Denkinger! I work with both of them on the City's Picnic Committee! I asked Deb if she was related to you and she said her husband is your cousin, then Nancy said that you were good friends! Boy what a small world!

I remember you saying that you adopted one child from China when we had lunch oh so many years ago, congratulations on the addition of new little girl - that is so great!

Just wanted to send you a note of "hello - how are you" and congratulations.
