Ittyisms and Ellaisms

Elizabeth has been saying some cute things again. I have to write them down so I don't forget.

One day last week we were shopping and the girls were not behaving. After being talked to many times Elizabeth said I'm Sorry. She then said, I'm saying I'm Sorry so much Mom my lips are tired.

In talking about a new friend at school that just moved here from China Elizabeth explained she talks to this girl in Chinese but Mom, JunFen laughs in English. And then Elizabeth showed me by laughing - see that's English.

At gymnastics this week Elizabeth was running ahead on the way in. Ella is not as fast so I asked Elizabeth to stop. "I can't Mom, my feet won't let me"

A couple of mornings these last couple of weeks Elizabeth has asked when her teeth are going to be loose. I guess there are a couple of kids at school losing their teeth and Elizabeth is anxious to be one too. I first asked how many kids and she said all but back tracked right away to say only a couple of kids. :-)

Ella has begun saying YEEYUPP for Yup. I can't get her to say Yes, but she used to say Yup. Now its a long Yeeeupppp :-)

Ella is doing great in speech therapy. She has had two sessions so far. Ella really likes the therapist. On Monday she held her hand and leaned down to kiss her ring. Ella always gets interesting reactions when she does that. The therapist said, Oh my. This week they worked on multiple sounds. For example, Ella can say Cow and Boy but when she says Cowboy its cowoy. She drops the b in the middle. And she can say Key but monkey is monee. They did flash cards to work on middle sounds. Ladybug (ladyug) Cowboy (cowoy), bubbles (buells) etc. We practice it at home too.

Today was a 3 duck day. The girls got ready without fighting and Ella let Elizabeth get her ready except for the pull up - Give that to Mom Ella. :-) So in the car I said I was happy they did so well and it was a two duck day. (They get rubber ducks when they are quick to get ready in the morning). Elizabeth thought it should be a 3 duck day because she got ready without me even telling her. I agreed. Of course she tried working it up to a 6 duck day. :-)
