Florida Trip
I had a lot of fun with my friends. We got there very late on the 15th but still stopped at Walmart to get groceries. We got to the house and Kathy had the rooms all set up and the blow up mattresses ready to go. After the nine of us all got set up in our rooms/mattresses it was kitchen time. We sat around the table until 5 AM just getting caught up and having some beverages. Here is a picture of some of the medicine us old fogies have to take.

The next day we just hung out at the pool a couple of blocks from the house and watched Se* in the City , the movie that night. Great beginning to a wonderfully relaxing week. On Friday we split up a little. Some stayed back for more pool time and the rest went to Universal for fun. Kathy and I even got our picture taken with someone famous:

Impressed? Elizabeth was :-)
The rest of the crew met us at City Walk where there are restaurants and you don't have to pay park fees. We went to a couple of the hot spots and then headed home. Here is everyone (Tami, Micky, Denise, Kathy D, Tammy, Julie, Kathy M, Reenie):

Saturday we all went to Cocoa Beach for the night. Kathy found us a great deal at a time share for the night. It was pool time again with some great beverages and food. I think I even caught a few zzzs at the pool in the shade. A few went out dancing and Reenie, Denise and I stayed back. I was glad not to have those hangovers... I heard some were drinking cosmos. Oh My.
Sunday we started back to our home away from home but stopped at the Cocoa Beach Pier first. We did end up having a drink at this little bar after it opened.

We also stopped for lunch and enjoyed the wonderful outdoor deck. We saw cruise ships docked and caught some more sun. Here is Reenie, Tammy and I.

On Monday we toured some of the model homes and I took pictures of the one I want... but I took them on my cell phone. If I ever figure out how to upload them, I will. I would love to live in that style of house but here in good old Minnesota. In the afternoon, the rest went to the pool again and I drove to Tampa to visit with my brother, sister in law and my wonderful nieces.
It was great having time with them on this trip and I was so glad it worked out. My niece Grace Ann treated me to a concert... she has taught herself to play the guitar and did an amazing job. I have always been amazed with Grace's self confidence paired with her caring spirit. She is a great kid and I love watching her grow up to a strong loving woman. Madeline was in great spirits too. She was playing with her friends when I got there and I learned how the tree in the front is a great climbing tree. Madeline and I also talked about her Karate classes... she is loving them and is moving up the belts at lighting speed. Madeline is also a sweet girl. I love her and her curious nature. Jim and Pam have done an amazing job with both of their girls. They know how to be caring to others but they are not afraid to speak their mind. Or wear mascara proudly even after her Dad noticed it ... great job Madeline! Here are the girls with their Halloween costumes.
