Its All About The Shoes

On Sunday we went shopping. Elizabeth needed winter boots and Ella needed new sparkle shoes. Well, its all about the shoes with my girls. Elizabeth saw these and that was all she wrote:

Silly me, I thought they were fur lined all the way. I guess I should have looked - LOL. But, it was flashback to when I was a young girl and my dad took me shopping for boots. I wanted these really cool black fashion boots and Dad went and asked the sales guy if that is what girls that age wore and he said no. I ended up with the warmest ugliest boots ever on the face of the earth. Mmmm so now Elizabeth has the cutest coldest (possibly but currently untested) boots. Wonder who would get the award for the better parental decision?

For Sparkle Girl.... Ella had worn these really cute pink sparkle shoes that were Elizabeth's when she was younger. But, they were way too small for Ella. I thought I had taken care of that by hiding them in the "Good Will" box. Guess who found them on Saturday? Ella has been stuffing her toes in those shoes and saying no they don't hurt mom. So, I said we would look for new pretty shoes. We found some brown ones that were cute, but not that pretty. But, I didn't see any sparkly ones. Ella said sure so I pulled down the box and opened the lid. This is what was in the box:

Ella took one look and said Ya Ya Ya Ya and kicked off those pink shoes and said, they hurt. The red shoes have not been off her feet much since then.

Tonight I had a meeting with Ella's school - Conference time for Ella. She is doing so well with Speech and loves it there. They love her too. She had a glowing report and made me very proud. At first Ella was scared. I think she thought Elizabeth and I were bringing her to school and then we were leaving. A couple of times she said, lets just go home. :-) She even said that after the girls put their stuff in Ella's locker.

We talked about how Ella is picking up more and more sounds and the plan for the future. Up until this week there were only two kids in the class, Ella and Spencer. Now there are 6 - 2 girls and 4 boys. Oh My.... should be interesting.

We took pictures there of Ella with her teachers Pat and Shawne. They are really nice people and I am glad Ella is doing so well.

Here are the three of us... sweet moment:
