Parent Teacher conferences were last night. The family before me was running a little long but when I got in, her teacher said, there is nothing bad to say about Elizabeth. She is a wonderful student and a pleasure to have in my class. Wow. It only got better. The First Graders took some tests on Monday of this week which Elizabeth had told me about. Well she got 96 out of 100 and 100 out of 100. They were all about Chinese language, characters, strokes and counting the character strokes as well as math and sentence structure. I was so proud I almost cried in front of the teacher. She said that Elizabeth is very excited about school and I agreed. We also talked about how Elizabeth has gone ahead in the math workbook. I told Elizabeth's teacher that I bought a math workbook this week for Elizabeth. The age range is 5 - 8 and she is digging it big time. I couldn't wait to give Elizabeth a big hug and tell her how proud of her I am. Her smile was worth a million bucks.
With this ban on TV, we now have more time to read so that is what we did. The three of us read books for a while after their bath. Today is a free day for Elizabeth so she is going to daycare with Ella. That made Ella happy too. Depending what time they get out of bed, I may let them watch some morning cartoons today as a special reward. But, not on school mornings and no TV at night during the week.
Keep up the hard work Elizabeth. You always have your homework done on time and do an amazing job! I am very proud of you!!!!! Rock Star!

Great job Elizabeth!
Way to go, Elizabeth!! Mom has every right to be proud of you!!
Love those good students! (I used to teach kindergarten.) And - can I just say - I'm now in love with your daughter. Mrs. Howell? That is so, so cute!
To explain Mrs Howell... The Tonginator was in awe this last weeked over a beauty pagent princess and I commented on their blog.
A couple of years ago Elizabeth and I went to a play a coworker was in. It was a benefit for the Lions Club and they did a spoof on Gill*gans Island. Elizabeth was in awe of one of the characters... it was not Maryanne. Nor was it Ginger. Elizabeth was agog over Mrs Howell. When we saw the person playing Mrs Howell after the play, Elizabeth said "there she is MOM!!!" and then we went over and shook her hand!
Thanks Lovey.
