Elizabeth had her FIRST Gymnastics Meet and did AMAZING!
We had their regular gymnastics class in the morning, then we stopped at their favorite drive thru for lunch. Both girls were asleep by the time we got home. After carrying them both in, they woke up and ate their lunch. No real nap for either.
We hung out at home a couple of hours and then headed back to the Gym. I followed instructions and got there 15 minutes ahead of Elizabeth's scheduled time. Holy Moly there were no good seats left. I am thinking everyone else got there 16 minutes early. :-)
We signed Elizabeth in and then Ella and I found our seats.
We then saw other people sitting in some great spots so we moved after the first event. We have Elizabeth on video doing beam, floor, vault and uneven bars. She was so good. I'm glad we moved too. We had a great angle for all events. The girls all got a trophy. They had 4 really cool red gymnastics bags. They gave them away for the Best Smile, Best Hair, Best Attitude, and I can't remember the other one. So now I know to doll up the girl and remind her to smile alot and wave and be cute. Because of course Elizabeth now wants one of those bags. :-)
After it was done, Elizabeth changed and her silly mom left Elizabeth's shirt in the car. So, she zippered up her jacket and out we went. The shirt was tucked under my jacket in the car (it was really warm and easier to leave the jackets in the car - less to hassle with) so she did a show in the car too. LOL Good thing there were no cars next to us by then. Elizabeth told Ella this is a secret, don't tell. So, please don't tell Elizabeth you know.
We took off to meet up with friends at Tracy and Muriels. We get about two blocks away and Ella said, My PUPPY... My PUPPY. So we turned around and went back. I was worried that I may have put it on top of the car when I was loading the girls up so I was looking on the road for a pink and white puppy. Thankfully it was sitting on the counter at gymnastics. Whew.
Off we went to a very fun night. Almost all the mom's and moms to be were there from the Single Mom's group of friends. Thank you Tracy for a really nice night. Thank you to Michelle, Deb, Elizabeth, Tracy and Jodi (hope I didn't miss anyone). They all bought gifts for all the girls. Deb gave ornaments to the moms too (looks beautiful on our tree). I am sorry I didn't think to get gifts for your girls. My girls have been coloring and having a blast with the gifts. Thanks for thinking of my girls in this holiday season.
Off to make breakfast. I have an order for waffles and one for toast. What a tough menu. :-)
