Maybe I'll wear pants one day

Every morning Ella decides its another day to wear a dress with tights. This last week she adds a comment. "Maybe I'll wear pants one day Mom". I ask, do you want to today? No Thanks is her reply. :-) I asked why she thinks she needs to wear pants - Bett Mom. That would be Beth, our day care provider. She tells Ella that someday she will need to wear pants because its going to be colder and colder. I guess its pretty funny looking when Ella puts on her snow pants to play outside. Her dress bunches up and hangs out. She does have pants at daycare. Beth will ask if she wants to put them on before they go out. Guess what Ella says, "No Thanks, Bett"

Yesterday Elizabeth was sick and stayed home while I worked from home. I think she just needed rest. I feel the same and would call in sick but if I was home I would feel guilty about work or about the stuff I am not getting done at home. Elizabeth stayed on the couch until it was time to leave for her dentist appointment. She did make the observation that it was easier that she was home since she had to go to the dentist. She is always thinking. :-)

We picked up Ella and went to Target. We have been trying to get groceries since Sunday. The ice on the roads held me back on Sunday and then we had Chinese Dance on Monday. On Tuesday it snowed so we went straight home from school. It was not a cheap trip to Target because we also got some last minute gifts for teachers and cousins as well as Christmas outfits for my girls. Some pretty shoes had to be purchased as well. They had tights in Ella's size but not Elizabeth's so darn, I have to shop at Macy's today. LOL

While I was getting supper ready the girls were playing doctor (mean mom wouldn't let them watch tv) Elizabeth was super excited because she saw that Ella's missing tooth is starting to come in. She called me in to the doctor's office (living room) and showed me. It really is coming in. That is so cool. We have an appointment with the cleft team coming up in January I think. So, I will see if she can get xrays at that time. Maybe Ella won't need a bone graft. But looking at her teeth and how they are coming in, she will definitely need braces. :-)

Happy Thursday.
