Kindess of Strangers

This could also be titled "If you were my daughter, I would..."

I ran to Target over my lunch hour to get the Valentine's supplies for my girls schools as well as some treats for work. I also needed to get gas in the car and had some time so I filled up the car and paid for a car wash. This gas station used to be a mom and pop place but was bought by a chain. They are just as nice as they were before and I think they kept on the retired guy that helped everyone. I think of him as something close to a Walmart greeter. He is older and very friendly. He waved at me while I was driving off. I waved back. I went behind the building to the car wash and could see him through the doors. When I pulled out he waved again and then held up a tire gauge. I said sure. I know one of my tires is always running low so I decided it was good to take the time. I met him over by the free air pump (one of the few free ones in my town) and he got busy. Pretty soon he was calling out the tire pressure and shaking his head at me with a fatherly grin. 3 of the tires were 25 or lower and one was 50. Wow. I thought only one was bad. It was very nice of him to fix my car up for me. I know my dad would be saying something sarcastic now but I think I'll keep this one to me and those that read the blog.

Thanks Mr Holiday Station / Grandpa!
