Happy First Day of Spring

When Elizabeth woke up and looked out the window she said "Oh No, its Winter Again?" :-) We got a light dusting of snow last night but it was gone by noon

This morning getting ready I dropped something and keeping my new goal in mind, I said God Bless America. Ella wanted to know why I said a bad word. :-) I explained that was not a bad word but was asking God to bless us. Think it will work?

Last night we had Parent Teacher Conferences for Ella. She is doing so well at Speech Classes with the schools. When she started she was rated as understood 50% of the time. Here is some of what they wrote in her IEP: "She has made excellent progress in her articulation skills. She has learned to use the G and D sounds in all word positions. She is now able to use the F, S, and SH sounds in all word positions at the single word level. She is working on using K and G in the beginning and middle positions in words. Ella has also learned to imitate correct productions of S Blends ST, SN, SM, SP and SW. Her speech is judged to be understood 75% of the time. Ella is making very nice progress in the ECSE classroom, as well. She has excellent attending skills during circle, small and large group activities. She participates in all classroom activities and completes all tasks. She plays well with peers, sharing toys and taking turns."

Wow - I am so proud of her I have tears in my eyes. They feel she is ready for a 4 year old Kindergarten and so do I. Ella LOVES school and talks about it all the time. She gets so excited to go and very tired when she is back at Day-care. So I can tell she has worked hard. Next week is Elizabeth's conferences and I expect to be a proud mama again.

My doctor appointment went as expected. My thyroid is still in the normal range but is starting to trend down. That explains my change in energy. So the doctor changed my level of medicine to 175 from 150. Here's hoping that does the trick. He also told me I will continue to gain weight if I don't exercise and eat less. Wow... haven't heard that one before. :-)

Can't wait for spring flowers.

I'm waiting for spring too. When you find it can you send it to Chicago?
How awesome that your little one is doing so well in speech. Our Livi is in speech too and really improving. I had tears in my eyes reading her report card. They sure make us Mommies proud don't they : )

Great news about Ella...I can understand why you're so proud. Wow, that doctor is really a genius...exercise more and eat less and you will lose weight. He should write a book!
