I need that as my inner voice until I find a balance again. Unfortunately, my "TO DO" list includes way too much. Yesterday I snuck out of work 15 minutes early so I could run to get the girls, get Dad's dry cleaning, run the dry cleaning to him, bring the girls home and start washing our clothes. What a shock when I got crabby that the house was super messy.
I vow to put the girls to bed by 8:30 (it will move to 8 when school starts) to give me time to get stuff done around the house instead of having to play catch up at the end of the week.
I hope this will give me more time with the girls while we make supper, read books and play outside instead of trying to do chores.
We are also going to hang at home more - weeknights and weekends. The girls are more used to going and going instead of relaxing at home. I am not doing them any favors by all the running. They need to have time to use their imagination to keep their minds and souls relaxed and happy.
August is less booked up than July has been. So it won't be long before we are hanging loose and relaxing together.
