Back to Schools Night

Ella is changing schools. They had a Back to School BBQ tonight. It started at 5:30 but Ella was still sleeping. I had to wake her at 5:45 and she was not happy. She went down for her nap at 3:00 so it should have been enough time. We didn't get there in time for food but got to see the play ground and the Pre K room.



Any guesses what Ella feels about it all? She is Mad/Sad here. She doesn't want to go to this school because its not her old one. Poor girl... she LOVED the teachers and the school last year. I tried getting her in their Pre K program but she is number 45 on the waiting list. I hope we can get her adjusted. I talked to the teacher a little and also chatted with the speech therapist but will have more talks with them next week.

From there we went to Elizabeth's school. This building is HUGE. Its really nice and I think everyone will be very happy there. We brought the school supplies in and met Elizabeth's 2nd Grade teacher. Then we went to a presentation in the Gym. I was amazed by the number of families. When the school started 4 years ago, there were 60 students. Now there are over 300. Amazing.

After the presentation we went back to Elizabeth's room and ran into a bunch of friends. We also saw her teacher from 1st Grade. Lots of love tonight. I tried to get a good picture of Elizabeth with Elizabeth W but my Eliz stepped out of the frame. I'll try to get more pictures on Tuesday when I drop her off.
Elizabeth W is Mikaela's big sister.
