Just us

One more picture from the wedding. My cousin Todd took pictures of people as they came in to the reception. I love this one of me and my girls. Elizabeth is proudly wearing the necklace I had given her that morning and Ella is wrapped in her blanket. That same blanket was used to wrap her up when we were in China.

Each of the girls have a necklace from me. I bought them the summer I brought Ella home from China and have been waiting for a special moment to give it to them. I thought Saturday morning was a perfect one for Elizabeth. She glowed when I gave it to her as well as when when I read to her what it said. The necklace has two sides.

Never forget

Elizabeth asked if she could wear it to school too. With those tough days she had I thought that would be just fine. We have not yet done that but we will. I was going to wait to give Ella hers when it would be special to her too but her big sister was looking out for her. While Elizabeth and I were having our moment, Ella came in my room all prettied up. Elizabeth asked if Ella could have her necklace too. I think it was about half way through the wedding reception when Ella asked me to take it off of her. :-)

I also let Elizabeth wear a little makeup on Saturday.
