We Did It

Uncle Kevin went with and kicked the tires and looked it over from top to bottom.  Three hours later Elizabeth and I were leaving with our new Van with Uncle Kevin following us home.  Elizabeth has been wanting a van forever so I thought she would enjoy coming with.  While we were doing the test drive Elizabeth asked if we were bringing it home.  I didn't think we were.  But, they got it all cleaned up and the paperwork all approved and signed so we could.  Elizabeth stayed busy with Uncle Kevin and at the end when she was getting tired she sat down and almost said she was bored.  That is when I looked at her and said... We get to drive the van home sweetie.  Oh My Lord, the excitement was immediate.  She couldn't wait to pick up Ella at Reenie's to show her the new van too.  Ella's first words were "I like our new car Mom".  We all love it and I am so thankful to Uncle Kevin for all his help tonight.  Thank you too Reenie for watching Ella.  I can't wait to show Dad.  When I was in high school I wanted to get a van and he said, "Not while you live in my house"  How times (and vans) have changed!

I can't imagine why Dad didn't like those 70's vans?  :-)

I bet your dad heard the phrase, "If this van's a'rockin' don't come a'knockin'! (oh dear!)

Yes, times and people do change! (thankfully)

I hope your new vehicle takes you on many memorable adventures!
