Elizabeth was a bee. :-)
Origami is the art of folding paper.
When I got in class the first thing Elizabeth asked me to do was to take a picture of her with her BEST FRIEND FOREVER. These two girls are so alike and they fight as much as they get along. Some people say that means in years to come they will have a tight bond that won't break. I just hope it doesn't break us first. LOL We love Elizabeth W and her whole family. Elizabeth and Elizabeth met in China and we are so lucky that the W's are still in our lives from travel group to school... who woulda thunk it.
That same night was the closing party for Ella's school. Her school is closing its doors this year - cost cutting move by the St Paul School District. Its a bummer when any school closes and I wish everyone a bright future. Ella loved it there after a rocky start and she has wonderful teachers that think the world of her. She thinks the world of them too.
Elizabeth didn't go with us as she was invited out swimming with friends. Ella and I met up with Todd and his kids and grandson, Cameron. Todd's kids also went to this school back in the day so they were able to walk the halls one more time as well.
Ella's class picture is the middle one of the three.
Ella and Cameron outside the PreK room Ella has spent the mornings in this year. Aren't they cute? :-)
On Saturday it was raining so after we spent some time at the Flint Hills Children's festival the girls and I went to the Mall of America. Guess who they met? Now they are happy.
I just have to end the post with a comment about Grocery Shopping and Karma. When I got to daycare, Beth mentioned that Ella woke up from her nap with a chill. I could tell Ella was not up to snuff but didn't expect it to move as fast as it did. We got Elizabeth from school and had to go the grocery store. Ella was getting pretty warm by then (only 30 minutes have passed) so I should have just gone straight home but the cupboard was bare. Ella was groaning and Elizabeth was jumping around so it was hard to get stuff in the cart fast. Finally Elizabeth stopped jumping and was a huge help. The bummer was the other shoppers. I was getting so frustrated with people leaving their carts to block the middle of the aisle. I ran into the same woman 3 times and we said Excuse Me each time but she still left her cart in the middle of every darn aisle we saw her at. I promise I didn't make Ella throw up but it was poetic justice when she threw up by this woman. We ran to the bathroom, made it in time and then Ella said she was ok. But when we left the bathroom, I looked up and saw the lady shopper in the check out line and then Ella said MOM OW. We ran back in and just missed making it to the bathroom in time. Poor Elizabeth was helping me as best as she could but really struggled with the smell. Both girls were concerned about telling someone about the little mess Ella made right by the check out and I said I would make sure to tell someone. The lovely lady shopper was very nice then and told me that they already knew. I am glad that Ella is feeling better now and is on meds for the fever. I am going to have to keep her home tomorrow but it looks like it moved as fast out of her system as it did coming in. I just hope Elizabeth doesn't get it. I don't need that Karma. :-) And I am thankful this is not our normal store... maybe they will forget about our family by the next time we stop there.
