Saturday we had two parties. One was to celebrate Mrs. Kemp's 80th birthday. We have been friends with the Kemps since I was 4 years old. We met when we moved into our house. The Kemp's have lived across the alley forever. Mary and I have been friends since we were 4 and the party for her mom was at her house. It was a nice afternoon. Great company, great food and a lovely time.
From there we went to the park on a play date. We had a great time there too. The girls played and I visited. I love that they are big enough that they can do their thing and I can sit and watch and relax.
Sunday we took Dad to church and then came home and played/organized/vegged. We have a room that is going to be an office but has been a junk room for far too long. Its now well on the way to organized. It's great to get that going
Monday we went to the State Fair. Todd met us at the Park and Ride and we were on the Fair grounds by 9am. I only took pictures with my cell phone and they didn't turn out too bad. We ran into Michelle and Mia and family on the way in. Good to see you guys!
We had breakfast, did rides, went in the Kid Farm, walked alot, checked out the Eco building, played at the kid area with alphabets, danced on stage, and the girls and Todd walked up the Fire Tower. I claimed I was tired. :-) We were home by 5, had dinner, bath and bed by 7:45. Ella even did her homework. Elizabeth finished hers this morning. The girls were tired but rallied fast and had breakfast, packed backpacks and off to the bus we went. And I was early to work again.
Have a great week.
