Crying jag by Ella this morning was because I told her she had to wear socks. She wanted to wear her brown school shoes instead of her light up tennis today. I told her that was ok but because the shoes were a little big, she needed to wear socks. She hates socks. But the shoes flop on the back of her feet. I swear I had her try them on the store but now they are too big. I think I need a remedial course on shoe buying because Elizabeth's shoes are also too big.
Ella choose to wear the brown shoes and went up to her room to get socks... crying the whole way. As we were putting the socks on her, she was saying Hot Hot Hot. I told her to stop complaining since she choose the shoes knowing the rules. She hates that kind of comment and started crying more. I told her she can't use her sister's DS tonight if she keeps crying. Guess what? No DS for Ella. I am sure I will show it to her tonight and wait 15 minutes before I let her play it.
While driving to the bus stop she then said, these socks are not bad I guess or something like that.
Tell me - will the emotions be so big all of her life? What is it going to be like when she goes through puberty? Oh Lord Help Me. :-)

Joan, I got a big grin on my face as I read your post. My Ella and I had almost the same sock scenario this week. Ellas must be strong minded young women! I know this will serve them well in the future:)
